THE ADVANTAGE OFFSITE PROGRAMME
Advantage Offsite has been initiated to develop new and existing Offsite technology manufacturers through the utilisation of the regions advanced manufacturing infrastructure. Funded by Advantage West Midlands and delivered by Mtech Group Limited the initiative aims to create an exemplar regional supply-chain network and promote the transfer of knowledge and innovative developments in offsite technology.
The significant opportunities available to the
Offsite Manufacturing (OSM) Industry
are yet to be fulfilled. Advantage Offsite is designed to be the catalyst in the West Midlands to initiate this change through three fundamental objectives:
| To promote and encourage the offsite manufacturing industry within the West Midlands | |
| To pro-actively seek and assist new, diversifying and existing offsite manufacturing companies within the West Midlands to further enhance the regional supply base | |
| To develop a collaboration network of manufacturers, specifiers, contractors and construction clients to develop an integrated and innovative supply-chain |
To deliver these objectives the programme is to be delivered over the following five stages:
Stage 1: Market Research & Investigation
Stage 2: Engaging Companies through workshop activities
Stage 3: Free auditing and strategy development of potential companies
Stage 4: Free consultancy guidance to deliver the development strategy
Stage 5: Initiation of a regional offsite collaboration network
Stages 1 to 3 form a selection process aimed at identifying 'high potential' companies that have the business, market and cultural credentials to drive the West Midlands offsite manufacturing industry forward. Stage 4 is the delivery mechanism that aims to provide the best possible advice and support to develop the 'high potential' companies. Stage 5 provides a basis for continuous improvement and supply-chain integration to unite the regional industry and provide a collaborative framework for development.
